Our achievements
Helping people to help themselves
At Self Help UK we care passionately about bringing people together to talk about shared experiences. We see first hand how this empowers individuals and groups and how it directly relates to
- improved wellbeing
- improved physical health
- reduces isolation
- increases confidence
- eases the strain on health and social care services.
- We are in a difficult economic and social climate, but we know how valuable our services are.
Please see our latest Impact report.
Our recent Annual General Meeting was very well attended and many self help groups participated by talking about how much being a member of a group had helped them.
Over the course of the past thirty six years, Self Help UK has been there for hundreds, if not thousands, of people, helping them come together to help each other.
We have offered help and support to anyone who has needed it, no matter their circumstances. We have been a bridge between public and healthcare professionals, assisting at both ends of the spectrum. We are pleased and proud of what we have achieved, and hopeful of what we can achieve in the future.
Awards and recognition
Nobody likes to seem immodest, but we have had quite a lot of recognition for our achievements. See our Awards and recognition page for more details.

" Without Self-Help UK’s support, our group would not be at the point they are today; the support we receive enables us to continue running. "
