Breaking down the stigma of mental health
Time to Talk Day 2021
Time to Talk Day 2021 took place on Thursday 4 February, thank you to our amazing Self Help UK staff, fantastic volunteers and self help group key members
A small conversation about mental health has the power to make a big difference.
We know that the more conversations we have, the more myths we can bust and barriers we can break down, helping to end the isolation, shame and worthlessness that too many of us with mental health problems are made to feel.
Time to Talk Day is a day that the nation talks about mental health.
This year’s event may have looked a little different, but at times like this open conversations about mental health are more important than ever. We need your help to start the conversation – together we can end mental health stigma.
Self Help UK help mutual support groups to be able to create safe spaces for people to talk, share experiences and talk more openly about mental health. Through our training we are able to help people to set up groups access funding and also look at support for key members.
