You’re not alone: join Newark’s monthly support group for cancer carers.

Cancer carers in Newark and surrounding areas now have a new place to turn for connection and support. Starting Tuesday, 5 August 2025, a brand-new Cancer Carers’ Support Group will open its doors at the Macmillan Information Centre, located at the YMCA, Lord Hawke Way, Newark NG24 4FH.

This monthly group is designed to be a warm, welcoming space where carers can share their experiences, learn from one another, and simply feel supported – without pressure or expectations.

What to expect:
  • A friendly community of people who understand the challenges of caring for someone with cancer.
  • Shared wisdom from fellow carers navigating similar journeys.
  • No agenda – just support in a safe and relaxed environment.
  • Flexible attendance: book ahead or drop in as you wish.
Group details:
  • When: First Tuesday of every month.
  • Time: 1:30pm – 3:30pm.
  • Where: Macmillan Information Centre, YMCA, Lord Hawke Way, Newark NG24 4FH.
