Nottingham, UK –

Self-Help UK launches new online learning centre to empower communities.

Self Help UK, a leading self-care and peer support UK-registered charity, is proud to announce the launch of its new Learning Centre. The launch of the new online platform is part of Self Help UK’s ongoing commitment to lead the national self-care agenda on self help by promoting, enabling, and connecting support, information and education within the health and social sector.

The Learning Centre offers a wide range of services, including online courses, workshops, and consultancy, all designed to help people and organisations better manage peer support groups and healthcare issues.

The Learning Centre is aimed at individuals wanting to start or connect with a peer support group in the UK; organisations and charities wanting to support the development of peer support groups within their field; and professionals wanting to develop their understanding of peer support groups.

“Our first course – Peer Support Group Starter Kit – has been developed through our 40 years’ experience in providing support, guidance, and training for both new and existing peer support groups. Further to this, we hope to add significant value to health care professionals and organisations involved in health care” said Ben Rollinson, Product Manager at Self Help UK. “We are incredibly grateful to our funders, the National Lottery Community Fund in enabling us to develop this service to make a positive impact on peoples’ health, not only at a local level in Nottinghamshire, but also across the UK.”

Going forward, Self Help UK will continue to launch online courses, training and information for its groups and health care professionals.
