We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Boyd as new Managing Director of Self Help UK.

Ian joined us in November ’23 and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Self Help UK’s operations, including its strategic direction, service delivery, and fundraising efforts.

Ian Boyd Profile

Ian brings over 25 years’ experience in the charity sector to Self Help UK. He has a proven track record of success in leading and managing organisations, driving innovation, and delivering positive outcomes for the people and communities that they serve.

“I’m delighted to come on board at such an exciting time for the charity,” said Ian. “There has clearly been excellent work developed over the past 40 years, and I’m really excited about what type of future we can forge together as we further engage with and empower the local communities that we serve. I am very much looking forward to working with the team to set a refreshed vision and strategy for the charity going forward.”

Ian’s appointment comes at a time of significant growth and change for Self Help UK. The charity is expanding its reach into new communities and developing innovative new programmes to address the changing needs of the people it serves.

Nina Ennis, Chair of the Board of Trustees said: “We are so pleased to welcome Ian to Self Help UK. His experience and leadership will be a great asset for us as we move from delivery of largely Nottingham based services to working across the UK. Exciting times ahead”.
