Why give to Self Help UK

Tackling Health Inequality: We focus on underserved populations, ensuring health support is accessible to everyone, especially marginalised communities and Deaf individuals affected by cancer. Our programmes reduce isolation, improve care access, and empower communities to build their own health networks.

Expertise in Peer Support: As peer support pioneers, we provide training, resources, and opportunities for individuals and groups to create
sustainable support systems. Our online directory, viewed 24,000+ times annually, is a crucial resource for those seeking help.

Collaborative and Community-Focussed: Partnering with local healthcare providers, corporate sponsors and charities, our services align with community needs and deliver tangible outcomes. Our services provide holistic support, easing the strain on healthcare services and improving patient outcomes.

If you would like to donate to a particular project e.g. Beyond Diagnosis Service - a befriending service for people affected by cancer, please let us know.
