Other information
Callers can be put in contact with Silver Friends, trained volunteers who can offer a weekly friendship call. Silver Circle also offers people the chance to take part in regular group call discussions about subjects that interest them. Silver Line volunteers are vetted and trained and work in pairs to help ensure safeguarding and support. People interested in volunteering, can do so from their own home, using a system that prevents them from being charged for making calls to older people. For further details e-mail: volunteering@thesilverline.org.uk or ring the Supporter Care Team on 020 7224 2748, Monday-Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm.
