Self Help UK

Heart 2 Heart

The group provide peer to peer support in many areas with members accessing information surrounding medication, recovery, prevention, health & fitness and most importantly, a safe place to talk about what is affecting patients/carers without judgement. The group supports one another and offers guidance and access to specialists that many are not aware exists. Our primary aim to show heart failure patients that there is hope of recovery and long term good quality of life with the right help and support. We have had specialist speakers attend the sessions, covering relevant areas such as: Medication, heart devices, benefits, CPR demonstrations, Occupational therapists, Insurance, Heart Failure & Atrial Fibrillation specialist nurses, health/lifestyle and dietitian specialists, Pharmacists & Cardiology Consultants who are then available for one to one discussion.

Who is this service for?
