Inside Self Help Nottingham
Both the lift and the stairs bring you to the same point, which is the reception area where there is comfortable seating and where you can recover if you’ve chosen to arrive via the stairs (which are quite steep). A member of Self Help Nottingham’s staff will attend to you in this area.
Meeting Rooms
We have two meeting rooms. One seats around sixteen people and the other seats five people. Both rooms have central coffee tables and comfortable seating. Chairs of different heights are available if required. Noise from the street does affect the large meeting room, but this is mainly conversations as the road below is traffic free.
The radiators have thermostats fitted to adjust the room temperature and there also fans available for warmer weather.
The larger meeting room has a 46-inch TV screen (with speakers) to connect laptops for presentations and films. There is a free wireless connection for the Internet (WIFI) as well as a flipchart and spaces for hanging papers on the walls.
An induction loop for the meeting rooms is available and should be booked in advance.
A kitchen is adjacent to the larger meeting room for making drinks. There is a dishwasher, fridge and containers for recycling.
Toilets
We have two unisex toilets, one located down on the level (near the kitchen) and the other down a flight of stairs. The level access toilet has grab rails and access for people in wheelchairs.
