Inside Self Help Nottingham
Both the lift and the stairs bring you to the same point which is the reception area where there is comfortable seating and where you can recover if you’ve chosen to arrive via the stairs. A member of Self Help Nottingham’s staff will attend to you in this area.
Meeting Rooms
We have two meeting rooms. One seats about 16 people and the smaller one 5. Both rooms have central coffee tables and comfortable seating. Chairs of different heights are available if required. Noise from the street does affect the large meeting room, but this is mainly conversations as the road below is traffic free.
The radiators in the large meeting room have thermostats fitted and can be adjusted according to the weather.
There is good light from the large windows and ceiling fittings as well as free standing standard lamps.
An induction loop for the meeting rooms is available and should be booked in advance.
A kitchen is adjacent to the larger meeting room for making drinks. There is a dish washer, fridge and cupboards both under the sink and above the worktops. Bins for recycling and rubbish are located under the worktop opposite the sink.
Toilets
We have two unisex toilets, one located down a flight of stairs and the other on the level. The latter one is fitted with grab rails for use by people who need extra help and there is space for wheelchairs.
Quiet room
If you have a need of a quiet room please ask at reception, but it is best booked in advance otherwise the space cannot be guaranteed.
