Accessibility Information
- We've tried to keep the pages short and the language simple but, if you experience difficulties, please let us know and we'll try to assist you.
- To help navigation we've included a site map which you can access at the top of each page.
Text size
If you wish to increase the size of the text you can do so by clicking on 'larger' in the left-hand column of this page or the home page, to cycle through two larger sizes of text. Please note this will only work across all pages if cookies are enabled.
PDFs, large print, plain text and other document formats
Many documents on this website are in PDF (Portable Document Format) format and can be either viewed directly in your web browser or downloaded to your computer and opened using Adobe Reader. If you do not have Adobe Reader software you can click here to download a free version.
Any of our files that you open in Adobe Reader can be read by software built into Adobe, called Read Aloud. You can see more about the Read Aloud facility and other software for reading PDFs on the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) website.
We can also provide large-print versions of PDFs that are on our website and plain-text versions. Please contact us if you want these versions or if you require any other formats, which we can send to you.
Contact us by telephone on 0115 911 1662, Monday-Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm or click here to use our information request form.
A4 portrait printing
If the pages don't appear to fit onto A4 portrait paper, please reduce your left and right page margins in page setup to ensure the whole width of the pages will print. The printed links will appear in blue to increase their readability. If you wish to print small sections of text, first, highlight the text you want, then click 'Print' and choose 'Print Selection' in the print window.
Also, this website is best printed if your browser is set up with medium text for Internet Explorer and normal for Mozilla Firefox. Find this under View and Text on your browser menu.
W3C validation service
This website has been validated as HTML 4.01 Transitional which means that it follows strict rules to ensure that the pages appear correctly across all browsers.
Clicking the W3C logos, below, will automatically check the validity of this page or its associated style sheet.
